People Can Mold Your World

By Anique Warren

It takes many kinds to make this world what it is. The world is the world, made beautiful, perfect. The world is cold when it wants to be – undeserving, painful, nonchalant experiences – rare they may be. Nevertheless, it remains a truly beautiful world. It’s the people in it that mold it – positively or negatively. It’s the same with our individual world. The persons we let into our lives mold it.

There are those people who are always down, always oppressed, always suffering, always struggling. They live thinking they have nothing to be grateful for. However, that mentality is like a disease. They, at the very least, have breath in their bodies, food, opportunities to become someone, to do something, and yet everyday every hour of the day,  they feel oppressed.

Remain oppressed then! It’s as though you can’t see how blessed you are, or maybe you do but in an effort to seek attention you respond to a simple ‘how are you?’ with something that’s ALWAYS negative.

These are some of the most destructive people because they try to pull us down with them. With a tone so sincere that nothing good is going on for them and they pull us in by trying to get us to agree with a simple ‘you know what I mean?’ Worst thing about that is unconsciously most of us will say yes, not realizing that we have just disregarded every blessing in our lives.

Romans 1:21 says although they knew God they did not glorify Him as God, nor were they thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18 says Always be Joyful. Continually be prayerful. In everything be thankful, because this is God’s will for you in the Messiah Jesus.

So NO I don’t know what you mean? You ever ask those kinds of people what they mean? It’s like they stutter when you don’t agree because that’s not the response they were looking for.

Wise up young men and women there is power in the tongue. Mighty power that I have proven time and time again. Don’t  let the negative people in. They will begin to mold your world and before you know it, you’re the one responding to a simple ‘how are you?’ with oppressive rhetoric because it’s easy to say.

Learn to be positive. It’s not just an attitude; it’s a lifestyle. A difficult, beautiful lifestyle. And NO everything is not always gonna be good. Yes, struggles do exist but the world doesn’t need to know. You will be down sometimes but you CANNOT be down and complain ALL the time. Negative cannot and must not be your default response to everyone, for everything.

Phillipians 4:11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content. How can you pray about it and say you have faith then scandal and complain your problem to everyone and anything that passes by? Is that faith?
