We Are God’s “Masterpiece”!

By Women Inspiring Prosperity

Ephesians 2:10 says “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (NLT) We there represents EVERYONE. Every person born into this earth is born a masterpiece – an exquisite, one of a kind, priceless WORK OF ART.

Yet we often don’t live our lives that way… For example, we speak and think badly about ourselves. We accept the negative things people say about us. We celebrate our bad habits. We walk with our heads low. We show little self-respect in the way we dress, the language we use, and the way we react in difficult or contentious situations.

We seem to forget that we can choose to live differently; to embrace the masterpiece lifestyle. We really ought to live the lifestyle which therefore means we ought to think it, live it, and breathe it everyday. We ought to replace all negative self-talk with daily affirmations; refuse to accept the negative things people speak over our lives; chuck our bad habits and replace them with good ones; hold our heads high; dress respectfully; speak only words that encourage and bring hope to others; and respond with love instead of hate.

Furthermore what we focus on…we become. Unfortunately some of us waste too much time watching, reading and listening to content that engenders war, aggression, and sexual perversion. We need to focus on content that will build us up instead. Why not choose content from people such as TD Jakes, Pat Smith, Steve Harvey, Priscilla Shirer or Steven Furtick? People who empower, encourage and motivate. Interestingly, we spend so much time complaining that life is so hard. I guarantee that life wouldn’t appear to be so difficult if we change what we focus on… What we focus on… we become.

My prayer is that you’ll begin living your masterpiece lifestyle today.

Here’s a tip: when you get up in the mornings, go to your mirror and repeat aloud “I am a masterpiece…I choose to live a masterpiece lifestyle. I will no longer allow my enemies (including me) to rob me of my legacy as a masterpiece. A legacy of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Gal 5:22-23). Amen!”

Much Love,

Tricia-Anne
