Lona Isaacs, a woman of God, is passionate about her relationship with God and with others. A native of St Elizabeth, she now resides in Kingston and is a member of the Fellowship Tabernacle where she is a member of the Prayer Line Ministry. In the past she served in the Evangelism and Tapes and Resources Ministries and as member of the choir. She is also a member of the I-300 Intercessory Prayer Ministry.
Lona believes her purpose is to help others and this she does through writing and sharing devotionals and religious articles, as well as offering prayer, counselling and words of advice to those around her. To this end, she has pursued a course of study in Principles and Techniques of Counselling at the UWI School of Continuing Studies. In addition, she has served as a Hotline Counsellor at the Women’s Crisis Centre in Kingston.
A trained Librarian, Lona has worked at the Jamaica Information Service and the Attorney General’s Chambers. She is currently employed as a Legislative Editor at the Office of the Parliamentary Counsel, Ministry of Justice. She is the holder of a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of the West Indies.
She is currently working on her first book in which she recounts various stories of God’s faithfulness and provision in her life.
